Miracle mom survives traumatic delivery after receiving 35 gallons of blood
This 5-minute video tells the inspiring story of mom Gina Walker, who was diagnosed with placenta previa during her third pregnancy. Placenta previa is a rare complication, giving Walker a 1-in-7 chance of surviving. After giving birth to a healthy baby girl, Addison, Walker began heavy bleeding. It took around 35 gallons of blood to save her life. Family, friends, and even strangers from Canada donated blood.
Hearing about her plight, some of her husband’s friends started a website, Give Forward: Gina Walker, to raise money for her many medical expenses. So far, they have $3,950 of their $150,000 goal.
Today, Gina Walker is healthy and happily living with her husband, two older children, and Addison, her “little piglet.”
