EXCLUSIVE: Undercover video shows Virginia abortionist saying it’s ‘easy’ to dismember babies
A new undercover video from inside the abortion industry shows an abortionist discussing the “little hands and feet” of the babies she has aborted. In the video, she dehumanizes the babies, saying that because they aren’t ‘fully formed,’ they should not have the same rights as other humans.
Rubino also spoke about expanding her abortion business from 15 weeks to 18 weeks gestation and falsely claimed babies at nine weeks are just a “sac.”
Rubino commits abortions at Meadow Reproductive Health in Virginia, a state where lawmakers are considering expanding abortion even later in gestation.
The Details:
Anti-abortion organization Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising (PAAU) has released exclusive undercover footage obtained by anti-abortion activists at the pro-abortion Repro Rising 2025 Gala in Arlington, Virginia, on June 12.
In one recorded conversation from the event, an anti-abortion activist spoke with abortionist Jessica Rubino, a traveling abortionist who opened Meadow Reproductive Health earlier this year. The facility commits abortions through 15 weeks, but Rubino is trained to carry out abortions through 18 weeks. She told PAAU activists that she decided to become an abortionist because it was “easy,” and “technically not really that challenging.”
“This video showcases what the abortion industry does best: dehumanizing the pre-born,” said Caroline Smith, executive director of PAAU. “This traveling second-trimester abortionist was excited to talk about the ‘fun’ and ‘easy’ process of dismembering children, and how rewarding it was to see their happy parents afterward.”
‘Little hands and little feet’
In the video, Rubino spoke about seeing the “little hands and little feet” of preborn babies after she suctions them out of their mothers, killing them.
“Once you get to like 10-12 weeks, it’s like see-through because it doesn’t have like — bone hasn’t finished forming, but you can start to make out little hands and little feet,” said Rubino.
She added, “And sometimes [the women will] ask, ‘Well, can I see it?’ … Almost always they go, “Oh that’s it?'” But she continued, “…When they see that fetus, they’re like, ‘Oh!’ because they’re expecting a baby because that’s what people have told them for all their lives, right? But when they see like, ‘Oh no, that really does look like something that’s not done forming… And I was trying to put its rights above mine!'”
Rubino called these comments “cute” and said, “I like it.”

It’s a shocking reality check about the abortion industry, the manipulation that fuels it, and what abortionists are willing to do for a paycheck.
Rubino acknowledged that the children she kills have “little hands and little feet” that are recognizable, while putting up a boundary line between which humans do and don’t get to have rights (in her opinion). So while preborn babies are people because they clearly are human beings, she dehumanizes, devalues, and disrespects them by concluding that because they are “not done forming,” they don’t have “rights.”
The human body is changing throughout all stages of life. A person’s age, location, body size, or level of formation does not dictate his or her humanity.
Unrealistic reactions?
Rubino’s claim about what women say after their abortion appears to contradict what even her fellow abortionists have written about and testified to; it also contradicts the testimonies of what even many “pro-choice” women felt after their abortions.
Common reactions women report after having an abortion are emotional numbness, grief, or even immediate relief. But chattiness, casualness, or a request to see the child’s remains aren’t typically among those reactions.
Countless women have testified to the trauma they endured when they saw the bodies of the children they aborted by pill in the first trimester. Instead of the clump of cells or tissue that they expected, they saw their babies’ developing bodies — head, face, eyes, legs — and the hands and feet referred to by Rubino.
Of course, a child shredded by a suction aspiration abortion will look like quite different from this:

In addition, to claim that women would be expecting to see “a baby” because that’s what they’ve been “told… all their lives” also seems unlikely, given the preponderance of dehumanizing pro-abortion messaging from Planned Parenthood, the media, and politicians. It’s also odd to say that a woman would then react to viewing the child’s remains (with visible hands and feet, no less) by saying, “and I was trying to put its rights above mine.”
This scenario appears less and less likely and more like a lie being made up on the spot.
But the shocking comments from Rubino didn’t end there.
‘Just a sac’?
She told the anti-abortion activists that “Most of our patients are going to be under 12 weeks because that’s the majority of people who have abortions, they’re gonna be really, really early. That’s when it’s really quite small in the sac… Some patients will ask me afterwards, if they can view what I’ve removed. If it’s like nine weeks, it’s just like, it’s still a sac, actually at that point.”
So, which is it? Do they have hands and feet, or are preborn children at nine weeks just ‘sacs’?

Rubino, who relocated from Texas to Virginia, shared how easy it is to do abortions in her new state, committing them on women “in an hour, like same day” as their first appointment with her. She complained that when she was an abortionist in Texas prior to the fall of Roe v. Wade, she had to wait 24 hours to commit an abortion so women could ‘think’ it over first.
She also spoke of other abortion facilities as “not clean” and overall “bad.” And she argued that the abortion pill, which carries significant, underreported risks, is “probably [safe] throughout pregnancy” despite all of the evidence showing it isn’t.
Abortion Amendment
PAAU summer intern Thomas Hill, who participated in the undercover recording of the abortionist, called the experience “horrifying but deeply educational,” adding that he and his fellow activists “were able to obtain critical information about the Virginia abortion industry’s plan to pass a radical abortion amendment in 2026.”
That “radical abortion amendment” to the Virginia constitution states that “every individual has the fundamental right to reproductive freedom, including the ability to make and carry out decisions relating to one’s own prenatal care, childbirth, postpartum care, contraception, abortion care, miscarriage management, and fertility care.”
Concerning the third trimester, it says that “in no circumstance shall the Commonwealth prohibit an abortion (i) that in the professional judgment of a physician is medically indicated to protect the life or physical or mental health of the pregnant individual or (ii) when in the professional judgment of a physician the fetus is not viable.”
This is dangerous language that creates loopholes to allow abortion through all 40 weeks of pregnancy for virtually any reason under its “mental health” clause. Years ago when late-term abortionist George Tiller was operating his business in Kansas, fellow abortionist Ann Kristin Neuhaus became his “rubber stamper” — she used a program called “PsychManager Lite” to input the information of minors who had abortions past 22 weeks, and the program then spit out a mental health “diagnosis” which would be used to cover up the fact that the abortions were actually elective and not for actual mental health reasons. It took 14 years, but Neuhaus finally lost her license for good.
To think that nothing similar could happen today is naïve, at best.
The amendment also says the state can not prosecute anyone regarding their “pregnancy outcome” — language that experts believe opens the door to legalized infanticide.
Any time a human body is found — regardless of the person’s age — an investigation should and must be carried out to ensure that the person did not die by homicide.
Horrific cases in El Salvador prove how wrong these situations can go if the discovery of a human body is not investigated because the age of the victim is considered too young. Women in El Salvador have stabbed their newborns and thrown them into septic tanks — and pro-abortion groups claim the women are being jailed for miscarriage.

The Bottom Line:
Pro-life activists are working to prevent such situations in Virginia. PAAU plans to release more information, including communications from gala attendees and sponsors.
“This is just the start of many more actions to come in our efforts to dismantle the Abortion Industrial Complex in Virginia,” said Smith. “We know the pro-abortion playbook, and now we know the players, and we can’t be stopped! There is no place to hide when you are funding genocide!”
